Bird Care
Flying Hope's goal is to not only provide a sanctuary for birds, but also to help prevent the need for it in the first place. Although Flying Hope does occasionally take in other domestic birds such as doves or finches, our main focus is parrots as they are more frequently misunderstood and live for a very long time. For this reason parrots are repeatedly re-homed because people don't know what they're getting into. To prevent that cycle it's necessary to educate people about healthy, positive care for parrots in particular.

*Please keep in mind that this is not a definitive source of information, we highly recommend that you use many sources and use this only to help guide you in the right direction.
Remember, if you are having any issues with your bird(s), behavioural or otherwise then contact us here or on Facebook before you re-home. Re-homing is very stressful for birds and we'd rather prevent it if possible so don't be afraid to ask us any questions, we'll help out the best we can.
